Welcome to Mrs. Hollowell’s Third Grade

My name is Jennifer Hollowell and I will be your child’s third grade teacher. Welcome!

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in School Counseling. I have worked in the field of education for the past twenty years and this will be my fourth year at SMS. As both a teacher and school counselor, it’s my belief that all children are gifted and that an effective teacher appreciates, responds to and challenges the unique qualities of each child. I strive to foster positive, supportive and respectful environments that encourage all students to view themselves, and their learning, as a success.

 I look forward to meeting and working with you and your child this year. 

This year we will use our Google Classroom to post homework. Please have your child get into the habit of checking the Classroom Classwork page under the “Homework” heading for homework announcements everyday. Students and parents can refer to Google Classroom in order to double check or if students forget to bring home their copyboook.
