Welcome Kindergarten C!
Meet Mrs. Cloud

Hi Kindergarten Parents and Friends!

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Mrs. Suzanne Cloud and I will be your child’s Kindergarten Teacher this school year. This will be my 17th year of teaching. 9 years of my experience has been spent in the Archdiocese teaching Kindergarten, First, and Second Grades. I also taught Pre-Kindergarten for 7 years in Wynnewood, Pa. I received my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Belmont Abbey College.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine and I am looking forward in making this school year a fun and positive one! I believe in celebrating all successes-both big and small! My hope is to instill a love of learning and to help your child grow more academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

Homework

Homework will be introduced gradually throughout the school year. It is beneficial to read aloud to your child for 20 minutes daily. Written homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. Your child’s written homework packet should be completed and returned on Friday or the following school day.

Important Information

Here is some important information for the start of the school year:

Please remember to pack a daily, morning snack as well as a lunch each day for your child. Unfortunately, we are not able to heat up lunches. Please also remember to pack a few extra napkins in your child’s lunch box. We will be eating in our classroom this school year.

In case of any mishaps throughout the school year, please send in a change of clothes for your child ( t-shirt, pants, socks and underwear can be kept in a Ziplock bag in your child’s backpack).

Your child will be given a Green “H” (Homework) Folder. Please be sure to check this folder daily Monday through Thursday. Important notes, homework and other correspondence will be sent home through this folder. Your child will also be given a Red “C” (Class) folder to store their classwork, crafts, projects, etc. This folder will be sent home each Friday. Please be sure to empty out this Red “C” folder and return on Monday or the following school day.

Your child’s Thursday Envelope should be emptied and returned on Friday or on the following school day. This envelope is given out each week as a means of communicating important school information.

Hope you are having a great summer!
