Support St. Margaret School

In fulfilling the mission of St. Margaret School, our teachers and staff are dedicated to academic and moral excellence seeking to develop the whole child. Our community fosters growth of moral character, social awareness and emotional growth of each student while supporting parents as the primary teacher of their children We aim to extend the nurturing environment found in the home. Our experienced faculty and staff provides differentiated instruction which benefits student engagement, social and academic inclusivity and greater confidence for students. We believe in the equal dignity and value of all persons, and therefore joyfully welcome children of all racial, ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds to our school. We believe that fostering a strong, active and inclusive community of families supports and enriches our school experience.

St. Margaret School and our mission is strengthened by the support of our community including parishioners, alumni, parents of alumni, faculty/staff, current parents and various other stakeholders and friends. Whether honorary gifts or memorial gifts, every gift is welcomed, and truly makes a difference.

Each November, supporting Legacy through the Archdiocese efforts in sharing our mission kicks off leadership gifts for iGiveCatholic remaining a meaningful opportunity to celebrate Catholic education today while making a lasting difference for tomorrow.

St. Margaret Annual Fund

The St. Margaret Legacy Fund is our annual fundraising initiative beginning in the fall. Your gift to the Legacy Fund will help us continue our 104-year tradition of providing outstanding Catholic education and inspiring our students to become women and men of faith, service and leadership. Gifts in honor or in memory of family, friends, alumni, business sponsors and tribute gifts are just a few of the gifts we receive annually.

We are committed to educating the whole child. We provide:

  • Spiritual and moral instruction rooted in Catholic faith
  • Academic excellence in a rigorous learning environment
  • Development of character traits including respect, integrity, initiative and patience
  • Opportunities to serve our community and foster compassion for others

Our first appeal begins in the fall of the school year, 100% of your donation to the Annual Fund stays in our school and directly impacts the daily lives of our students today. All gifts are tax-deductible. During Catholic Schools Week each January, a second appeal for our Legacy Fund in support of Catholic education is shared among our parish, and parishes served, in seeking donations to support the general fund in education which assists with minimizing tuition increases each year.

Business sponsors strengthen our Legacy each year. Opportunity to direct business donations to St. Margaret yields a significant impact for our students throughout the school year. Consider “Giving Matters”.

Tax Credits in Pennsylvania (EITC)

Tuition Cares

The Tuition Cares program allows Pennsylvania tax credit designations in support of Catholic education scholarships to enable a matching gift shared with all K-8th grade families. Tax liabilities of $1,000 are encouraged to participate. This donation becomes a 90% state tax credit to the donor with a 2 year commitment. School parents or guardians, parish members, and staff can contribute to reduce the tuition each year, by participating in The Foundation for Catholic Education Tuition Cares.

Teacher Gift

In 2001, the School Advisory Board initiated a voluntary giving opportunity for school and parish families to support our faculty and staff. In an effort to show gratitude for their time and talent in a vocation as an employee of Catholic Schools, SMS requests contributions to be shared among the faculty and staff. This gift is allocated based on years of service to the SMS community. We are grateful for all contributions and gifts for our faculty and staff.

Events / Fundraisers
