If you have any questions regarding the Home and School Association, please contact HSA@smsnarberth.org

From the Field Day Committee:  A BIG Thank You to all the volunteers who donated their time and energies  to the success of St. Margaret’s 2025 Field Day. We could not have done it without you.  It was a beautiful day and our students had a great time.  A special thank you is extended to Mr. Preston Moritz for organizing teams and games.  Thank you to teachers and  ALL THE PARENT VOLUNTEERS who spent the morning helping out with teams, stations, serving food, etc. We appreciate all your time and effort in making Field Day another huge success.

Are you interested in volunteering at SMS next year? Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents in our school community and become more involved in events at SMS. We are always in need of volunteers for lunch and recess duty, field trip chaperones, HSA events and more!

If you plan to volunteer, you must have all your clearances. These clearances and trainings help to keep our children and youth safe and are essential to the work we do within the Catholic Church. Many of these clearances are also required on the State level at public schools both for educators and parent volunteers. We understand that this is an additional step to take and it requires some time commitment and we thank you for your compliance. Your clearance documentation and training certificates must be presented to the Parish office prior to beginning your volunteer work. All volunteers are required to complete these requirements.

IF you are unsure if you are up to date with your clearances contact Stephanie Seal at sseal@smsnarberth.org  MORE INFORMATION WILL BE EMAILED to you.

We’d like to share highlights from the May 1st 2025 Meeting of the St. Margaret School Board of Limited Jurisdiction.

1. Facilities Committee is developing plans to improve the outdoor play space for students. We will repaint lines for sports and make designated areas for different activities. Total resurfacing of the parking/play area will occur after the HVAC in the gym is replaced. In addition, we plan a Spring clean-up day to de-clutter areas of the school. If you are interested in helping with either project, contact board@smsnarberth.org.

2. Finance Committee reported that enrollment is stable and kindergarten enrollment is well ahead of enrollment this time last year. A greater commitment to EITC programs from parents, parishioners, and alumni will be encouraged for the coming year.

3. Enrollment Committee plans to focus on recruiting new families through direct contact to those considering St. Margaret School. In addition, the committee hopes to highlight the culture and Catholic identity of the school through increased service opportunities for the students, greater publicity, and the website.

4. Development Committee has been considering fundraising opportunities, the timing of the various fall events which tend to conflict, the role of Home and School as well as the supportive role of the Board. We would like to form committees for key fundraising events early with representation of at least one Board member on each committee.

5. A new Catholic Identity committee will be added to the Board which will work to emphasize faith and evangelization, expand service opportunities and engage families.

6. We are looking for members to the main Board as well as the 5 committees above. All are welcome to join the committees. We have a limited number of spaces for parents on the main Board. If you are interested in joining the Board or committees please email board@smsnarberth.org.
