2025 is a milestone year for our Church, which was founded on Christmas Day, 1900. It is our 125th Anniversary!

Many events are planned throughout the year to help us celebrate the many ways that God has made clear His love for us through Saint Margaret Church throughout the years. Through its worship, educational efforts, service, community life and evangelization, our Parish has allowed many people to come to know, experience and follow the light of the Lord. We invite everyone to join us as we celebrate and deepen our faith through the various events of this significant year in our history.

~Sunday, March 2 – Mother-Daughter Communion Breakfast. This event will begin with the celebration of Mass at 10:00 am followed by a breakfast in the Annex with Samantha Kelly, an inspiring speaker for girls giving a talk. (Flyer in today’s family envelope)

~Sunday, March 9 – a parish-wide service event of preparing sandwiches for the poor.

~Sunday, September 14 (8:45 am Mass) – PREP students and families invited to Mass to celebrate the 125th anniversary.

~ October – An ARISE event of praise and worship for our youth.

~Sunday October 19, 2:00PM – Mass celebrated by Bishop Chylinski, followed by the Anniversary Dinner at the Hilton on City Avenue.

~Sunday, November 23 – Father-Son Communion breakfast. (10:00 am Mass, followed by breakfast in the Annex)

~Sunday, December 14, 10:00AM: Closing Mass celebrated by Archbishop Nelson Perez.

If you have any questions on these events, please contact the parish office at 610-664-3770 Ext 110

May God continue to bless the people of Saint Margaret Parish,

Monsignor Paul V. Dougherty, Pastor

St Margaret School had a wonderful week celebrating Catholic Schools Week last week. Each day we honored the various people who make our school a wonderful place!

On Monday, the students had a Religion Bee where 5th grader Aika Nguyen came out victorious! We presented letters to Sister Mary Ann Clarahan, Deacon Chris DeMaio and Monsignor Dougherty in appreciation for everything they do for our school.

On Tuesday, our faculty, staff and students participated in a Breakfast Bag Relay, putting together hundreds of breakfast bags for those in need.

We honored our amazing teachers and staff on Wednesday with a Faculty Luncheon provided by the Home & School Association and a teacher swap in the afternoon.

Thursday was Student Appreciation Day! The students all enjoyed an assembly with former Harlem Globetrotter & motivational speaker Corey the Dribbler. He shared his inspirational story and his amazing basketball tricks which captured our SMS audience. Corey Rich is an 8-Time Guinness World Record Holder that’s been featured on The Late Show with David Letterman, ESPN First Take, Comcast Sportsnet, Fox News and is widely considered the World’s Greatest Dribbler! Our students were in awe and also learned about respect, responsibility, and the importance of being ready to learn and that reading is power.

We ended Catholic Schools Week with a school mass on Friday and the annual 8th grade Boys versus Girls basketball game. Everyone cheered and enjoyed the game! We’re so proud of all our students and of our school.

Thank you to our Home & School Association co-chairs Beth Mirzai and Erica Santo for organizing this assembly and our faculty luncheon and to all the lunch duty volunteers who made it possible for our faculty and staff to attend the luncheon together.
